JOYN Public
- The department also covers mediatised court cases concerning the construction of large infrastructures and industrial catastrophes
- All public law subjects with particular recognised expertise in environmental law
JOYN Public covers all subjects concerning the relationships between people and public authorities. We sort out problems concerning public and administrative law, environmental and town planning law, constitutional law, the civil service, public contracts, and even expropriation.
At the heart of public law
JOYN Public deals, quite logically, with the public. Its members are the authors of a large number of scientific publications, whether they be articles or research papers. It is a way to work with other publicists, to bring ideas together, and to participate in the construction of the law.
The department is placed under the responsibility of Damien Jans, a UCL doctor of law, where he teaches administrative law and environmental law. This university activity requires and enables a constant updating of knowledge, in subjects that are continually changing.
Recognised expertise
JOYN Public can count public institutions, companies, associations, and private individuals amongst its clients.
The trust shown by clients is the recognition of our permanent desire for expertise and synergy with other JOYN departments, of our assertiveness in the defence of their interests and the transparency of fees, adapted to each situation.

The advantage of team-lawyering :
The solving of public law and administrative law problems often involves other subjects, such as penal law, contract law, or welfare law. The department has therefore been organised so as to promote all the skills within JOYN as much as possible. Through this voluntarily multidisciplinary approach, we reinforce our capacity to answer questions and our efficiency in the defence of our clients' interests before courts and tribunals or the Council of State.
